When people look at my email and Twitter names they are intrigued by my ‘nofixedabode’.  A few years ago my husband and I had a chance to do some long-term travelling and along the way we met some great people and discovered a simpler way of life.  Here I have shared some of these stories with you.  I hope they inspire you as much as they have inspired me…

Join me on a journey.  Imagine you have sold your home and all your furniture.  Perhaps you didn’t have a home to sell, but now you no longer have a rent book to concern you.  You have kept a few prized possessions and your favourite clothes.  You have parted company with the job that obliged you to clock watch and you have a little money in the bank for emergencies.

Where do you want to go?  How would you like to pass your days?

You have freedom from timetables.  You no longer have to travel the same streets, mow the lawn or wash the windows.

You reach the first roundabout and realise that you have so much choice that you can’t decide which exit to take.

This is the experience of many who have taken to the road as ‘full-timers’, to live in caravans or motorhomes and travel from campsite to campsite exploring the UK or Europe.

Have you taken that first step?  Would you like to?  Or are you one of the band of travellers who have been doing it for years?

Get in touch by leaving a comment, share your experiences, the thrills and the spills…I’d love to hear from you.
